BANDS TO AMALGAMATE

LACK OF PUBLIC SUPPORT It has been decided to disband the Hamilton Municipal Band and the Waikato Regimental Band, and unite them to form one organisation to be called the Waikato Regimental and Hamilton Muncipal Band. The decision has been made necessary by the lack of public support and the financial difficulties encountered. The Hamilton Borough Council decided last evening to agree to the amalgamation and to vote £IOO a year to the support of the reorganised band.
