MOTORIST GIVES ALARM
WAIHI DWELLING ON FIRE A five-roomed house in Bulltown, Waihi, owned and occupied by Mr. A. Austin, was completely destroyed by fire about 9.30 last evening. Nobody was home at the time of the outbreak, and the alarm was given by a passing motorist, but by the time the fire brigade arrived the house was a mass of flames, and the firemen’s efforts were of no avail. Nothing was saved. The house and furniture were covered with a combined policy in the Norwich Union Office, and the piano was insured for £4O, with the Alliance Insurance Company,
