MAN ASSAULTED
NAVAL RESERVIST FINED INCIDENT AT FERRY BUILDINGS A well-built man, Albert Herbert Frame (39), wearing the uniform of a sailor, pleaded not guilty in the Police Court this morning to a charge of assaulting Francis Albert Fugie. The complainant, who limped badly, stated that he was sitting on a seat at the Ferry Buildings on Saturday night, when the defendant came up to him and, without provocation, caught him by the collar and then twisted his legs. In conseauence he had to visit a doctor, who said he would be incapacitated for three weeks. The defendant said the complainant made an insulting remark. The magistrate imposed a fine of £5. in default 14 days’ imprisonment, half the fine to go to the complainant.
