“COURAGEOUS STEP”

MASTERS TOWARD MEN PEACE IN INDUSTRY British Wireless—Press Assn.—Copyright RUGBY, Saturday. Mr. Walter Citrine, secretary of the Trades Union Congress, referring yesterday to the coming national conference between employers and employees, said that the group of employers, which had called the conference, had taken a courageous step. At the conference, said Mr. Citrine, they would consider various facts in relation to the position of British industry. He conceived that it was probable that in endeavouring to adjust the relations between employers and workers, the principle of copartnership would be subjected to a very careful scrutiny.—A. and N.Z.
