Hill’s rink played exceptionally well against a strong New South Wales rink. In the matches at Armadale South Australia, 99, defeated New Zealand, 92; Clark, 25, defeated South Australia, 22; Hobday, 26, defeated South Australia, 25; South Australia, 30, defeated Hills, 17; Thomas, 24, defeated South Australia, 22. It was expected that South Australia would win easily, but New Zealand had the game in doubt until the last rink.
