A BRIGHT OUTLOOK

DARGAVILLE OPTIMISTIC After one of the best Christmas seasons experienced for years,- Dargaville commences 1928 with a bright outlook for better times ahead. Business firir\s have reported record takings, which in itself sounds an optimistic note for the welfare of the district. The ideal weather being experienced has induced many of the townspeople to take advantage of a sojourn on the west coast, a few miles from Dargaville. Visitors from other parts of the Dominion are also enjoying life at this favourite seaside resort. Among those present are the Prime Minister and Mrs. Coates. The coast is well known as the home of the favourite shellfish, the toheroa.
