His Second Murder

HICKMAN CONFESSES SHOT DRUGGIST LAST YEAR By Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright Reed. Noon. NEW YORK, Thurs. When asked by a Los Angeles detective if he had ever killed anyone besides Marion Parker, William Edward Hickman replied: “I killed Ivy Thomas, a Pasadena druggist, while Willoughly Hunt and myself were holding up his place on Christmas Eve last year.” The police immediately arrested Hunt, who strenuously denied the crime. Hickman recalled the details of the shooting and declared that Hunt was wounded by a policeman while fleeing. The gaol physician examined Hunt and found a bullet scar on his shoulder. Hunt later confessed, but claimed that Hickman had fired the fatal shots. Hunt’s age is 16.—Sun.
