PETONE BEACH MYSTERY YOUNG MAN’S BODY FOUND NO CLUE TO IDENTITY Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. About 3.15 this morning residents at the beach end of Patrick Street, Petone, heard cries from the direction of the beach. The police tvere informed, and a constable made a search, but could find nothing, though he said he heard groans. When daylight came Constables Scarry and MacNamara went out in a dinghy, and, after cruising round for some time, found the body of a man about 21 years old, fully clothed, floating in the water. There were no papers to assist in the dead man’s identification. Deceased was of glim build, wearing a light grey suit. He had brown hair and eyes, and his height was sft Bin. There were no marks of violence on the body.
