CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
TABERNACLE CHOIR TO-NIGHT Christmas carols, cantatas and excerpts from “The Messiah” will form 1 the nucleus of a varied and very t appropriate programme of works to > be submitted by the choir at the Bap- , tist Tabernacle this evening. The choir will open with “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” to be followed - by a prayer to be given by the Rev. . J. W. Kemp. The following items will include the performance of Maunder’s cantata “Bethlehem,” “And the • Glory” from “The Messiah” and l Adam’s “O Holy Night.” . In addition a piano and organ duo , “Christmas Chimes” will be given by 1 Mrs. Brame Clark and Mr. Arthur 13. - Wilson; soprano aria, “Rejoice Greatly” (“The Messiah”), by Mrs. C. . Turley; recitative and aria, “Thus Saith the Lord” and "But Who May L Abide” ("The Messiah”), by Mr. Clinto i Williams; flute solo, “Adagio” (Beethoven), by Mrs. Bartlett; and a series > of old Christmas melodies by a carol . party. Mr. Arthur E. Wilson will be the • conductor and organist and Mrs. T. Brame Clark, the accompanist.
