KUROW LEAVES NEWCASTLE.— Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the collier Kurow sailed from Newcastle at 7 p.m., last Monday for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday mor ins. AORANGI ON SUNDAY.—The Union Company advises that the Aorangi which leaves Sydney to-morrow, is expected to arrive in Auckland on Sunday evening. She is announced to sail from Auckland again at 11 a.in., on Tuesday*for Suva, Honolulu,’Victoria and Vancouver. PORT HARDY SAILS F RIDAY.—At present completing her loading at Auckland under the auspices of the Farmers Co-op. Auctioneering Company, the and I>. Line’s steamer Port Hardy is now to leave here at daybreak on Friday tor New York, Boston, Halifax and London via Panama. PORT FREMANTLE DEPARTS.—To complete her loading the C. and D. Line s motor-ship Port Fremantle sailed from Auckland this morning for Gisborne, thence Lyttelton, Wellington and Napier. The vessel is expected to clear Napier finally on December 30 for London via Panama. WAIPAHI WITH FRUIT. —With a full cargo of fruit from Fiji the Union Company’s fruit steamer Waipahi arrived at Auckland yesterday -and berthed at the King’s Wharf. Good weather generally was experienced for the trip. The'Waipahi sails at noort tb-morrow for Lyttelton direct and Dunedin. MELBOURNE STEAMER. —Due at Wellington to-morrovr morning from Melbourne, the local office of the Union Company have been advised that the passenger steamer Manuka sails the same evening and clears Lyttelton on December VI, Dunedin on December 39, and Bluff on December 20 for Melbourne. HINEMOA REPORTS.— According to a further radio message received by Speciding, Limited, the Government steamer Hinemoa is expected to arrive in the Stream at Auckland at 7 o’clock to-mor-row morning from Nieue Island. On December 22 the vessel will receive cargo for Norfolk Island, being scheduled to leave Auckland on December 28. PORT CURTIS ARRIVES.—To load under the agency of Heather, Roberton and Company, the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Curtis arrived at Auckland early this morning from Napier. She is to sail this evening for Australian ports, where she completes discharge of her New York cargo and finishes her loading for Egypt, Continent and . United Kingdom. lONIC’S MOVEMENTS. —Now at the Bluff completing her discharge and loading for her return voyage, the White Star liner lonic leaves the Southland port on Friday for Wellington, thence Auckland, to complete loading. The vessel is due here on December 26, and is announced to sail by the agents, L. D. Nathan and*Company, on the morning of December 30 for Southampton and London, via Panama; . PORT DENISON TO LOAD.—To continue her loading the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Denison is due at Auckland to-morrow morning from New Plymouth and sails the same evening for Bluff, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Wanganui and Wellington to complete. The Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Company, the local agents for the vessel, advise that the Poet Denison sails finally from Wellington on January 14 for London via Panama. CANADIAN SEIGNEUR ARRIVES. — From Eastern Canadian ports, the Canadian Government Merchant Marine steamer Canadian Seigneur arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon and berthed at Prince’s Wharf to commence discharge. The vessel left Montreal on October 27 and called at Sydney (Cape Breton) three days later to take on a quantity of steel goods. She sailed from Sydney on November 2 and, experiencing Jane weather down the American coast, she arrived at Colon on November 3.4, and after transit through tlie canal was granted cleared Balboa the same day. Her general cargo from Montreal consists mainly of motorcars, rolls of paper and farm machinery. The Canadian Seigneur was in New Zealand waters several months ago, arriving at Auckland on July 11. Captain Wm. McConechy retains command and associated with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. A. Le Blanc; second, Mr. A. Fitzgerald; third, Mr. D. Thomas; wireless operator, Mr. F. R. Hughes; chief engineer, Mr. R. Prydie; second, Mr. F. Esson; third, Mr. W. Nicholls; fourth, Mr. R. Constable: chief steward, Mr. H. Singleton; cadet, Mr. E. Robinson. The local office of the Canadian Government Line expects to dispatch the vessel on Friday in continuation of her voyage to Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin to complete discharge and load for the homeward trip. The vessel will arrive back at Auckland at # the beginning of January to complete ' loading before sailing the next day for New York, Boa toa and Halifax,, _
CITY OF EVANSVILLE. —The chartered steamer City of Evansville is expected to leave New York to-day for Auckland and Southern ports. She is due at Auckland about January IS. CARGO FROM THE EAST.—The Union j Company’s cargo steamer Waihemo is now loading at Penang. She will fill up at Singapore and Sarrrarang for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. THE MARTABAN.—A cable message from Port Pirie states that the steamer Martaban left yesterday for Westport. She is to load in New Zealand for the United Kingdom, under charter to Geo. H. Scales, Ltd. NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER. —Leaving Vancouver to-day via Victoria, Honolulu and Suva, the Union Company advises that the R.M.S. Niagara is due at Auckland on Monday, January 2, and sails the following day for Sydney. MESOPOTAMIA LOADING. —Advice has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane that the tramp steamer Mesopotamia commenced loading phosphates at Makatea Island last Tuesday for Auckland and is expected to clear there to-day. She is due here about December 26. KERSTON MILES REPORTED. —En route from Port Arthur, Texas, Henderson and Macfarlane have been advised that the German steamer Kersten Miles sailed from Balboa on December 2 for Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. The vessel is expected to arrive here on December 29. KIA ORA LEAVES COLON.—A cable message to the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company reports that the Kia Ora left Colon on Sunday morning for Halifax, London, and West Coast of Great Britain, en route from Auckland. The vessel sailed from Auckland on November 16. GISLA ARRIVING. —Due at Auckland this evening from Montreal, the tramp steamer Gisla will berth at the Central "Wharf to unload the local of her cargo, under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. TAMAROA FROM LONDON.—According to advice received by Messrs. L. D. Nathan, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer, Tamaroa, is expected to arrive at 'Wellington on Sunday evening next, December 13* from London and Southampton. The vessel is due at Auckland on Christmas Day. RUAHINE CLEARS BAL3oA.—According to a cable message from Colon, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruahine arrived at Colon last Friday, en route from London and Southampton, to Wellington and Auckland. She cleared Balboa next day, and should arrive at Wellington about December 31. WAI RUN A LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO. —Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Wairuna, with Pacific Coast cargo, left San Francisco at 1.30 p.m. last Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, and Australian ports. She is due at Auckland about January SILVER SHELL DUE.—Due at Auckland either this afternoon on this evening the Shell Line tanker, Silver Shell, is bringing a full cargo of bulk oil from Sinagpore for discharge at New Zealand ports. The vessel will discharge the local portion of her cargo at Western Wharf. The British Imperial Oil Company 1 are the local agents. TAINUI LEAVES SOUTHAMPTON. — Cable advice received by A. S. Paterson and Company states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui from London sailed from Southampton last Friday with passengers for disembarkation at Wellington and cargo for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. The liner is due at Wellington on January 16 and Auckland a week later. MATAKANA TO LOAD. —From Wellington the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s steamer Matakana is to sail this afternoon for New Plymouth, to complete discharge and to commence loading for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow. She will subsequently load at Wanganui roadstead, Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Auckland on December 25, and will sail finally from Wellington on January 12 for the Home ports. SOUTHERN CROSS AT 8 P.M.—The Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross is expected to arrive at Auckland at about eight, o’clock this evening from another of her periodical trips to the islands of the Pacific. The vessel,- which is not equipped with wireless, was sighted from Cape Brett yesterday. The vessel will berth to-morrow morning at Queen’s Wharf to land missionaries coming home from the mission stations of the New Hebrides on furlough. SPECIAL CHRISTMAS TRIPS.—The Northern Steamship Company advises that the following special trips will be made during the coming Christmas holidays:— The Clansman will make two trips to Russell. Opua, Whangaroa, and Mango - . nui weekly. Arriving here on Friday morning next, December 16, she will be dispatched again at five o’clock the same afternoon for the usual Northern ports. She is scheduled to arrive back again on Monday morning, December 19, and it is hoped to dispatch her later the same day again, from which trip she will arrive back the same evening. A steamer ywill leave for the Great Barrier on December 24, 28, and on January 4. The Waiuku is scheduled to sail at 9.30 a.m. on December 23 for Waiheke, calling at all bays en route. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURES YESTERDAY HAUTURU (6 p.m.), 270 tons, Fowler, for Raglan and Kawhia. • ARRIVAL TO-DAY NGAPUHI (7 a.m.), 703 tons, Bark, from New Plymouth. The Ngapuhi, which arrived at Onehunga this morning from New Plymouth, is scheduled to sail again at 4 o’clock to-morrow afternoon for the same port. The Hauturu is due at Onehunga on Friday from Raglan, Kawhia and Port ■Waikato. She sails again on Saturday for Hokianga. The Arapawa is due about the end of the week from Wanganui. The Anchor steamer Totara may sail from Onehunga this afternoon for Nelson and Nelson bays. If not, she will clear port finally early to-morrow morning.
