COLOUR SIGNALS

DRURY TO MERCER DEMONSTRATION TRAIN To-morrow the coloured light signalling system will come into operation on the Drury-Mercer section of railway line. The previous portion, from Pukekohe to Mercer, began operating last Sunday and has worked splendidly. To-morrow a demonstration train will run from Auckland as far as Mercer for members of the Auckland railway staff who are interested in the new system. It will enable them to make themselves familiar with its working. The train will not be available to the public.
