TIVOLI

“RUBBER HEELS” For a general rejuvenating process, and toning up, there’s nothing that can compare to Ed. Wynn’s initial starring picture, “Rubber Heels,” which is now being shown at the Tivoli Theatre. “Rubber Heels,” directed with assured mastery by Victor Heerman. presents Wynn as the graduate of a correspondence school in detecting. With sheep skin in hand, he applies for work at Conklin’s private police agency. Though Wynn doesn’t know it. Conklin’s office is really a meeting place for crooks. Naturally, when the conscientious new chum discovers this, all sorts of things are apt to happen. And —they do! Thelma Todd, the beautiful blonde who added so much to the Paramount junior stars’ debut, “Fascinating Youth,” is Mr. Wynn’s leading woman. Robert Andrews enacts the juvenile. The Dempsey-Tunney fight film is also being shown at the Tivoli.
