CAPITOL
“LEW TYLER’S WIVES” 5 To people of mature years, the drama of domestic love is the one of supreme appeal. The way married coupies get along—their joys, sorrows and diffi- - culties —is always the most absorbing 3 consideration in the world. Its interest » reaches both to those who are married l and those who are not. c That is why everyone will want to see J. G. Bachmann’s new Preferred » Picture. “Lew Tyler’s Wives,” which [ opened last night at the Capitol Theatre 5 and was received with an enthusiasm that has been summoned by very few films of recent months. Coming with tons of advance praise and following Beery’s remarkable success in his two previous comedies, “Behind the Front” and “We’re in the Navy Now,” there was a tendency to womb r j if he could do it again. However, any j lingering doubt will soon be wiped into obscurity because for sheer out-and-out comedy, “Casey at the Bat” also shown at the Capitol to-night, is said to surpass' anything that’s been seen here in many a day. The star’s supporting company is headed by Ford Sterling, Zasu Pitts and Sterling Hollo - way.
