NEW ATTRACTIONS • Auckland’s Gay Rendezvous” aptly describes Luna Park since its reopening for the 1927-2 S summer seaMany exciting and amusing innovations have been added for the entertainment and thrill of patrons. The palace de danse, with George Shorland’s six, an excellent orchestra, is a popular attraction. Among the new features are scenic river caves and a voyage underground through famous scenes of many countries, which have made a wide appeal since their opening. There is also a full silver band, free vaudeville on a specially constructed stage, and a promenade terrace. The well-known fun producers ■such as the scenic railway, the caterpillar, the whip and the dodgems are still as popular as ever. Special concession tickets are now available and cover all the shows and at the afternoon sessions attendants are in charge to care for the children. Edward Connelly, veteran player of both stage and screen has signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. I-Jo recently completed important roles in ‘‘The Student Prince,” with Norma Shearer and Ramon Novarro, and in "Love," in which Greta Garbo and -Tohn Gilbert are co-starred.
