CHINA AFTERNOON
BRIDE-ELECT HONOURED The home of Mrs. W. S. Dickey, Fairfax Road, Epsom, was the scene of a happy assembly on Saturday afternoon. when the Misses Hilda and Joyce Dickey gave a china afternoon in honour of Miss Hazel Simpson, whose marriage is to take place next month. During the afternoon several enjoyable musical and vocal items were given by Mrs. F. Simpson and Misses B. Barker and G. Simpson. Competitions created a great deal of merriment, and Misses G. Tilley and I. Butler were each successful in waning a prize. After a dainty tea had been served, Miss Simpson made a happy litle speech of thanks. Mfts Hazel Simpson chose- an attractive frock of ivory crepe faille, with jade trimmings, and with it she wore an ivory hat. Mrs. Dickey wore a frock of navy georgette, with parchment-tinted relief, and a naw crinoline hat. Miss Hilda Dickey was in a floral georgette. and wore a hat to match. Miss Joyce Dickey, periwinkle blue georgette and crinoline hat to tone. Miss X. Hickey, champagne crepe de chine, with floral trimmings and Tuscan hat. Mrs. W. T. Simpson, Nile green marocain frock, with lace trimmings and jade hat. Mrs. F. Simpson, green silk crepe ensemble suit, and hat to tone. Mrs. J. McLaren, bois de rose crepe de chine, with georgette panels, and Java straw' hat. Miss G. Simpson, rose pink floral voile, with crepe de chine trimmings, and hat to tone. Miss L. Savage, larkspur blue crepe de chine frock, and hat to match. Miss I. Butler, saxe blue frock of crepe de thing, and hat to tone. Miss I. Xoble, fawn sill* jumped suit, and picture hat. Miss E. Ansell, j beige and blue crepe de chine, and hat to tone. Miss R. Wood, rose beige georgette, and hat to match. Miss M. Clark, floral jade marocain, and picture hat. Miss B. Barker, flowered blue crepe de chine, and hat to tone. Miss G. Tilley, ivory georgette, with crimson trimmings, and hat to match. Miss H. Sims, cinnamon and brown georgette, and coloured hat. Miss M. Harrison, cornflower blue crepe de chine, and bat to tone. Miss M. Gilfillan, figured geranium marocain frock, and picture hat. Miss E. Reed, frock of rose du Barri crepe de chine and lace trimmings, with hat to tone.
