AN AT HOME

The final meeting- of the Fapatoetoe Methodist Ladies’ Social Guild was held in the church hall yesterday afternoon. The Rev. F. Greenwood presided. A delightful musical programme was enjoyed by the large audience. The Rev. L. B. Dalby delivered an interesting lecture, taking for his subject the need of more brightness in religion. Stalls were erected in the hall and all reported good business. Those in charge were: Sewing- Mesdames W. Nesbitt, W. Brown, J. Bryant. Cakes and sweets: Mrs. Dawson, Miss Clara Bryant. Produce: Mesdames Lusby, Ginn, junr., and Miss Doris Bryant. The musical programme was contributed by Mrs. J. Sanderson, pianoforte solo; Mrs. Hyland, song; Miss W. Reid, song; Misses Haddock and McKenzie, sketch. Afternoon tea was served by the members.
