Mr. Godfrey Locker-Lampson, Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, informed a questioner in the House of Commons that he had just received a medical report from the French Government, giving the opinion that the transfer of Lord Terrington to England for extradition could not be attempted without endangering his health. —A. and N.Z. A Boulogne cablegram of July 28 read as follows: The French authorities permitted Lord Terrington, who was detained at Boulogne on March 19. when on his way to England for examination in the Court of Bankruptcy, and later taken to hospital, to leave the hospital. Lord Terrington was quietly married to his constant companion, Mrs. de Vere Humphrey, and then he promptly returned to the hospital. On March 19 last Lord Terrington, who had been absent on the Continent since July, when his creditors took proceedings in the Bankruptcy Court in connection with debts amounting to £420,000, was detained at Boulogne when he was about to board a vessel for England.
