NEW PLANE

CHAMBERLIN’S PLAN NEW YORK, Monday. The airman, Clarence Chamberlin, who crossed the Atlantic to Europe, announces tplans for the manufacture of a “foolproof” airplane of his own design, which will be so simple to operate that even a child could manoeuvre it with absolute safety. The plane will, he says, be able to land or take off within a space of 100 ft. It will sell at between £240 and £3OO. It is of the light monoplane type, and will carry two passengers. Its weight will be 5001 b., and the wing spread 30ft. A. and N.Z.
