HINKLER’S INTENTION DISAPPOINTED FLIERS
By Cable.—Brest Association. —Copyright Reed. 1.46 p.m. LONDON, Monday. Mr. Bert Hinkler and Catpain R. H. Mclntosh have decided to fly to London upon repairs being completed to the damaged wing-tip and propeller. They emphasise that the engine was perfect throughout. “Naturally we are most disappointed. The only consolation is that up to the time we reached the Caspian Sea we put up the remarkable time of 11 miles an 1 hour. We thought we knew something about weather, but what we encountered is beyond belief,” said Hinkler.—A. and N.Z. COBHAM AT MARSEILLES TRIP TO AFRICA Reed. 10.14 a.m. LONDON, Monday.
