ONE-DAY MATCHES TIME LIMIT ON BATTING At last night’s meeting of the Auckland Suburban Cricket association, it was agreed that all matches should be limited to one day. Some discussion arose over the time allowed for batting for each match. In Mr. Stallworthy’s report, it was stated that it was intended to up and make all games as bright as possible. It was decided to start all games at 2 o’clock and to cease play at 7.15. The team taking the second strike shall not have less than 2J hours to complete its innings while any loss of time shall be recorded against the offending side. It was decided that the closing time for the second innings would be optional and no restrictions would be imposed. GROUNDS AT REMUERA The offer of the Auckland Hockey Association for the use of wickets at the Remuera ground for the coming season caused considerable discussion. It was mentioned that the Hockey Association was prepared to rent 10 wickets at £.90 for the season. According to the secretary, Mr. E. Stallworthy, a previous offer of £65 for the use of eight wickets had been received. Mr. A. Hollis, of the junior committee, said that it was essential to accept the offer. It was decided that the offer should be accepted. ALLOCATION OF WipKETS The city council advised that wickets on the domains for this season had been allotted as follows: Auckland Cricket Association, Victoria Park, 5; Domain, 11; Grey Lynn, 2; total, 18. Suburban Association: Victoria Park, 6; Domain, 9; Grey 'Lynn, 2; total, 17. The draw for Saturday’s matches is as follows: Senior A Grade.—Ponsonby v. Ellerslie; Harbour Board A v. Glen Eden; Green Lane v. Harbour Board B. Senior B Grade. —L. D. Nathan v. Tramways; Harbour Board v. Victoria; Ellerslie v. Ponsonby.
