TWO BOYS IN HOSPITAL

PREMATURE EXPLOSION Two children were admitted to the Auckland Hospital on Saturday evening suffering from burns. Gordon Campbell, aged 9, of 106 Newton Hoad, had his hand injured through a large cracker exploding unexpectedly. Charles Treanor, of 34 Victoria Street, Onehunga, was injured in the eye when a cracker exploded near him. Neither is seriously injured. One side of a detached shed in Maidstone Street, Grey Lynn, was damaged by Are on Saturday evening. The blaze was caused by fireworks. The shed is on property owned by Mr. Smeeton and occupied by Mr. W. Bungay. Another fire shortly after 9 o’clock on « vacant section in West End Road, ronsonby, is attributed to Guy Fawkes celebrations. No damage was done.
