Beauty Glows on Slopes of Mt. Eden

A UCKLAND has nothing more beautiful to offer at present than the rock garden on the slopes of Mount Eden. The warm weather of the weekend caused the flowers to open to their fullest beauty. And what a profusion of colour—every imaginable shade of the artist's colourbox is there. A walk from Mt. Eden Road to the new tea kiosk is something to be enjoyed and remembered. The warm slopes of the mountain seem to draw the sunlight and feed the newly-opened blossoms with a warmth which heightens their myriad tints. It was a splendid thought of the Mount Eden Borough Council to turn a harsh mountain side into a glowing garden.
