WATERSIDERS CEASE WORK AT BOWEN
TWENTY FINED FOR. SMOKING
By Cable. — Press Association. —Copyright BRISBANE, To-day. Work on the waterfront at Bowen is at a standstill as a result of 20 workers being fined for smoking in a wooden portion of the jetty. The men ceased work at a protest, and refused to resume unless the water board refunds the fines and allows the men to smoke anywhere on the wharves. —A. and N.Z.
