PERSISTENT SHARK

A PERSISTENT shark was found by Mr. A. Foster’s launch Raira off D’Urville’s Rocks on Sunday. Three small specimens were caught and Mr. Foster had just hauled one up to the gunwale and stuck his knife through its brains when it gave a kick and broke away with the hook. Three quarters of an hour later Mr. Foster hauled up the identical shark with the lost hook on the opposite side of its mouth to his line. It seems as if some sharks take a lot of insulting.
