YOUNG MAN’S DEATH

NO EVIDENCE TO SHOW CAUSE Press Association. GISBORNE, Monday. At the inquest on John Andrew Smale, aged 30, who was found dead in the kitchen at his home on Friday evening, it was said that deceased’s general health had been good, and he had had no worries. He had been out for a drive % with his family that afternoon and was in good spirits when he left his wife and child at his mother’s, and went home. The coroner found that death was due to poisoning by coal-gas, there being no evidence as to how the poisoning occurred.
