COMMUNITY CARS
PENALTIES FOR DRIVERS ORDERED TO PAY COSTS Twenty community car drivers were ordered to pay costs at the Police Court to-day for driving without omnibus licences. Mr. McKay, who appeared for the City Council, said that the men had now gone of£ the road, and the council was not now pressing for a penalty. Mr. F. W. Schramm said that the defendants pleaded guilty, as it was found that there were no grounds to take the cases to the Appeal Court.
