PRETTY WEDDING AT ST. MATTHEW’S
A GOWN OF VELLUM CHENILLE WATT AM—WHEELER Last evening the wedding took place at St. Matthew’s Church of Vera Annie, the second daughter of Air. and Airs. C. B. AVheeler, of Ponsonby, and Allan George, the fifth son of Air. and Airs. R. Wattam, of Remuera. The ceremony was conducted by Canon Grant Cowen. The bride was given away by her father, and the bridegroom was attended by Air. N. Smith as best man.
Effectively embossed vellum chenille was used to fashion the bride’s dainty frock, that fell in straight lines, broken only by a deftly pouched waistline.
A long veil of tulle was prettily arranged with sprays of orange blossoms, while the beautiful shower bouquet of white flowers gave a charming finish to her toilette.
Aliss Bettj- Powell, as bridesmaid, wore a delightful little frock of delphinium blue shot taffetas, attractively inset with bands of silver lace. A head band of ombre tulle in matching tones and a dainty apricot tinted bouquet were charming accessories.
