YESTERDAY’S WEDDINGS

TULLE AND ORANGE BLOSSOMS —THREE DAINTY MAIDS WILSON—RICKARDS St. Andrew’s Church, Epsom, was the scene yesterday afternoon of. a pretty wedding, when Alice Beatrice, the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. AY. Rickards, of King George Avenue, Epsom, was married by the Rev. F. P. Willis to. Jarpes, the second son of Mr. and Airs. J. R. Wilson, of Papakura. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. A. Rickards, and the bridegroom was attended by Air. N. Wilson as best man and Mr. W. Matheson as groomsman. Mr. C. A. Buq’Ows was at the organ.

Three maids attended the bride, who wore a delightful gown of parchmenttinted satin crepe, made with a softly gathered waist, and effective panels of silver lace. A circlet of orange blossoms held the bridal veil of tulle in place, and a dainty final touch of chic was bestowed on her by her charming bouquet of white roses and lilies.

Aliss Dulcie Jones and Aliss Nancy Wilson acted as bridesmaids, wearing attractive frocks of Betty blue lace trimmed with large shoulder posies and trailing ribbons of blue and rose pink velvet. Their hats were of ecru crinoline straw and blue velvet ribbon, and their bouquets of blush pink sweet peas.

Aliss Winifred Dervan, as flowergirl. wore a dainty, little frock of japonica pink satin crepe veiled with beige georgette and a pretty hat of pink crinoline straw. A charming conceit to complete her toilette was a quaint little silver basket of primroses.

.A reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride’s parents, where a large number of guests were received.
