CRICKET UMPIRES
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION The keenness that is being shown in cricketing circles this year was further demonstrated at a meeting of the Auckland Cricket Umpires’ Association this week, when a record attendance was present, and the names of several new members were handed in. In the past, the work of the association has been handicapped by lack of membership, and it is most gratifying to the association to have old players coming forward to help. There is still room for more. Messrs. R. E. Turton and X. B. Nevien have been elected chairman and secretary respectively for the year.
