FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION At the annual meeting of the Franklin Cricket Association, the retiring president, Mr. A. Duthie, reported that the past season had been a most successful one. The Warin Cup had been won by the Kohekohe Club, and the Duthie Cup by the Waiuku Club. Unfortunately. the Mauku Club, which was one of the oldest in the district, was
this season unable to secure a full j I team. However, a new club had been | I formed in the Karaka district, and thus there would again this season be four j teams in the association's competition, j Kohekohe, Waiuku, Glenbrook and ! Karaka. It was decided to commence the j Warin Cup competition on Saturday, ! November 5. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £6. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. M. Aldred; president, Mr. Hubert C. Hay; vice-presidents, Dr. C. E. How den and Messrs. A. O. Haycock, W. Cooper, P. Grice and E. C. Cuff: secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. M. Heise; committee, Messrs. Duthie, M. Brooks W. Sampson, and N. Hodgkinson; sole selector, Mr. Duthie. I
