HAURAKI SCHOOL RUGBY

KEREPEEHI WINS COMPETITION The last of the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union’s inter-club competitions was decided on Saturday last, when the Kerepeehi School team defeated Ngatea School at Ngatea by six points to three and thereby retained the Terrill Cup for the second year of the competition. The field was dry for the first time this season and the play showed a decided improvement on that of the previous occasion when these two teams met. Great interest was taken in the match and the attendance was equal to some representative matches played at Ngatea this season. For Kerepeehi P. Aro scored in the first quarter, and Hoff in the last quarter, T. Baggs failing to convert. Ngatea’s score was touched down by Clark, McPherson failing to convert.
