Campbell, honorary president of the Hospital Auxiliary, referring to the response made by the public to yesterday’s appeal. weather favoured the auxiliA ary’s effort, and no difficulty was experienced by a very willing and tactful band of workers in obtaining the sum of £7Bl. In the city area £695 was collected, and of this £232 will go to the hospital patients fund, and the remainder to the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary. The collection was organised by Mrs. A. D. Campbell, Mayoress, and honorary president of the auxiliary; Mrs. A. Kidd, president; Mrs. C. E. Maguire, secretary; and Mrs. H. Kirker, treasurer.
