WEEK-END GAMES In the final Rugby match of the Brysdale Cup series on Saturday, Veterans, 4 points, defeated Paeroa East, 3. K. Moore (East) and McCarroll (Veterans) each kicked a penalty goal, making the scores 3-all at the call of time. The game was continued for 20 minutes, and one point was allowed against Paeroa East for a force. In the junior competition Waikino, 9 points, defeated Paeroa West, 0. In the primary schools’ series Paerca A, 14 points, defeated Paeroa B. 13. A protest has been lodged by the Hot Springs Football Club against the playing of O. Cleave by the Terriers’ Club in the Cup final at Te Aroha on Saturday. The matter Avill be considered at the next meeting of the Rugby Union, and if the protest is sustained the match will have to be replayed. In a Rugby match for the Bircli Cup, played on Saturday, Thames defeated Coromandel by 14 points to 31. At half-time Coromandel Avas leading by U points to 3. Dufty kicked a penalty goal, and Moran conA-erted one of three tries scored for Thames by Trebiloock, Pollock, and Lomas.
