RESCUED FROM FIRE
CHILDREN’S ESCAPE HOUSE BADLY DAMAGED Press Association. PALMERSTON N„ To-day. A fire on Saturday evening seriously damaged an 11-roomed house in F'erguson Street. Two children who were in the house at the time of the outbreak were rescued before the fire assumed serious proportions. The house was insured for £I.OOO and the furniture Cor £SOO. It was owned by Mrs. Uosking, and occupied by Mrs. East. The children and their mother, Mrs. Peart, occupied a flat on one side of the dwelling.
