SHIPMENT OF COAL

DIFFICULTIES AT ONERAHI The dismantling of one of the loading cranes at Onerahi Railway Wharf and the breakdown of the other will have a very serious effect on the shipping of coal from the Hikurangi mines in the next few days. A number of ships that customarily call there have their own cranes, and will not be affected, but the coal company will probably send necessary demands by rail and keep the balance at the pithead till the repairs are effected. The dismantled crane was sent to Auckland yesterday to Newmarket, and the other was sent up to replace it ,but proved unequal to the task.
