■ Competitions were won as follows: Shield, A team; cup, B team; championship singles, Mrs. Bilkey; ladies doubles, Mrs. Bilkey and Mrs. OConnel; men’s association championship. Mr McDonald; men’s doubles, Messrs. McDonald and Wood; club championship, Mr McDonald; club doubles, Miss Wilkins and Mr. McDonald. Mrs. Bilkey brought further credit to the club by winning the Franklin championship ladies’ singles, and also the ladies’ doubles when partnered by Miss Wilkins. Mrs. Bilkey also retains the ladies’ championship singles in the Papakura Club, and partnered l>y Mrs. Pethybridge won the ladies’ doubles in the same club. The trophies were presented by the president: at the annual ball, which proved as successful as in previous years.
