CLAIM FOR DAMAGES (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Wednesday. The Supreme Court Avas occupied today m hearing the claim by. Emily Langman Eveleigh for £314 damages against Clive Matthews. The action was the outcome of a business visit by aetendant to her place, Avhen a dog light ensued, and she alleged that his dog bit her leg. His Honor said that the evidence given for defendant confirmed in many respects the testimony of plaintiff’s aaitnesses that it Avas her dog and not defendant’s that bit her. The Judge AA-as satisfied plaintiff had not proved her case. He could not grant Mr. Mossman’s application for a non suit for he thought the litigation should cease. Judgment AVas given for defendant with costs.
