JUNIOR KNOCK-OUT GAME ENDS IN A DRAW

The fn-st game of the Whangarei junir knock-out competition was played at Kensington Park on Saturday between Hikurangi and Kamo, resulting in a draw. The encounter was of a somewhat straggling character throughout. In the first quarter Muru scored a try for Kamo, which Hooper converted. After the final bell had rung, but before the ball became dead, Rowe crossed for Hikurangi, and Neil added the major points, thus averting defeat at the last moment. Mr. W. McKenzie was referee.
