At an athletic sports meeting in Alagdeburg, the Achilles Club (Britain), which is on a tour of Germanv, won the majority of the events against the German cracks. G. M. Butler defeated Wege in the 200 metres race in 22 l'-5 sec. Lord Burghley defeated Trossbach, the German champion, in the 110 metres hurdles, in 15sec. Buchner defeated D. S. A. Lowe in the 400 metres, in 48 l-ssec, a German record. —A. and N.Z.-Sun.
