TIVOLI AND EVERYBODY’S
“SENSATION SEEKERS” The tendency of a great many gi rla of to-day is to emulate as far as p os . sible the male with the result that get some startling results. in this respect there is a production ' Sensation Seekers” which opened at the Tivoli and Everybody’s Theatres yesterday that points an excellent moral. It is just the sort of picture which should be seen by every young lady who has a tendency towards the masculine. Miss Billie Dove portrays the part of the young society girl who is ever seeking sensation and who apes man to a marked degree. There i s also a parson, played by Huntly Gordon. but ho is of the type that one can watch and understand. It is he who helps "Egypt” out of the darkness into the light. A number of excellent scenes include that of the wreck of a yacht which is exceptionally clever. The story is well told and the cast which carries it through has been well chosen. There comes next on the programme “God Gave Me Twenty Cents,” a rattling good drama of life in a seaport town where romance and adventure are akin. The story tells of a sailor who. while enjoying the revels of a Mardi Gras, meets a pretty waitress. They marry’ but the happiness of the little home is shattered when a former sweetheart of the man appears on the scene. By means of an old gambler’s trick performed with the coins that give their name to the story, she entices him away from his wife. An unexpected factor intervenes and the story concludes in a novel and unexpected manner. The supporting programme is excellent and includes topical reviews and an exceedingly funny comedy.
