RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“LONDON” To be quite frank, “London,” Paramount’s new British National production, starring Dorothy Gish, is just a “Rag-to-Riches” story told in a delightfully new way. Y’et when you come to analyse that phrase, isn't it true that stories of the Cinderella type have always been popular? Doesn’t one usually feel happy when he knows that the heroine has come from the slums, risen to the heights, found her Prince Charming and attained happiness ? Of course you do! Cynics may' scoff. Some may laugh and oh ter deride but when all is said and done, it’s the “Rag-to-Riches” story which always w'ins out. And without turning a hair, blushing
the least bit, or offering any excuse, it is announced that j "London” is "the story of a modern Limehouse Cinderella who finds happiness in Mayfair. The picture, arriving at the Rialto and Regent, Epsom, Theatres,
is doubly valuable because of its authentic London scenes. The film was produced on the other side and the mother of cities is shown in all her glory. With which, it is only fair to say, don’t miss “London.”
