EASY MONEY—£IO,OOO FOR STRAIGHT BANANA

By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Tuesday. When a firm of London music publishers introduced the song, “I’ve Never Seen a Straight Banana,” they offered a reward of £IO,OOO for the discovery of such a specimen. A resident of Jamaica, Mr. R. Livingston, recalled this offer when he picked a straight banana in a Kingston plantation. 1 He had it photographed and officially measured, and it was then pickled in formalin and deposited in a bank. His solicitors are now claiming the reward on his behalf.—Sun.
