GREAT NORTH ROAD

SUPPORTING THE CONCRETE The concrete of GreaA North Road should be substantially improved and strengthened as the result of work in progress on that thoroughfare. A review of operations to date, and those to be effected in completion of the task, was given to the Avondale Borough Council by its engineer, Mr. Goldsboro, last evening. He reported that the work of providing shoulders to the road was nearing completion. Another 40 yarcls of blinding wa£ ? necessary to finish the work. A small amount of metal was also required to fill depressions where the foundations of the road were weak. The estimated cost of completing the work was £6O.
