PAEROA BOWLING CLUB

THE ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the Paeroa Bowling Club, Mr. E. Edwards presided over a good attendance of members. The secretary reported a credit balance of £l4 and £2G worth of assets over liabilities. The club had won four out of six inter-club matches during the year, and had also won the Goldfields Stars from IJikutaia. Better conditions for night play would be given next season by a rearrangement of the lighting system. The committee was requested to design a club blazer, and it was decided to elect future members by ballot.

The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr. P. Williams; president, Mr. C. Mettam; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. T. H. Hale and J. W. Silcock; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Purdie; auditor, Mr. J. M. Wilkinson; committee, Messrs. L. Gibb, J. T. Power and W. N. Chamberlain; selector, Mr. G. P. DeCastro; delegates to South Auckland Association and Goldfields Association, Messrs. Mettam and Williams. Three new members were elected. •
