A telegram from Belgrade states that Prince George, elder brother of King Alexander of Yugoslavia, made a determined attempt to commit suicide. Little hope of his recovery is entertained.—A. and N.Z. Pince George of Yugoslavia is the eldest son of the late King Peter. He was born in 1887. He renounced his right to succession to the throne some years ago. In May, 1925, following an attack on his chauffeur, the Yugoslavian Government, on the advice of mental specialists, urged that Prince George should be sent to a nursing home, where he could receive the necessary medical attention. The King accordingly had his brother transferred to a sanatorium.
