AMERICAN FLAG BURNED Reed. 9.55 a.m. CAPETOWN, Wed. Sacco-Vanzetti protest meetings were held throughout South Africa. In Johannesburg the American flag was burned on the Town Hall steps to the strains of the “Red Flag.” A boycott of American goods was advocated. The American Consulate was guarded by the police, but no clashes occurred. Memorial services will be held on Sunday.—A. and N.Z.
