Lieutenant Bert Balchen, who arr‘ ed at Oslo recently to arrange for Commander Byrd’s South Polar expedition, has already engaged Lieutenant Omdal, who was a member of Amundsen’s Norge airship expedition. Lieutenant Balchen hopes to engage Captain Nisting, the polar explorer.—A. and N.Z.
