C.C. REVUE COMPANY
PERFORMANCE AT HUNTLY A large an enthusiastic audience greeted the C.C. Revue Company at the Huntly Town Hall on Tuesday night. The visit was arranged by the railway st; ft* who deserve great credit for the splendid arrangements made. The proceeds are to be devoted to the Dobbs* Belief Fund. The chairman, Mr. W. C. E. George, in returning thanks on behalf of the committee, congratulated the director, Mr. C. N. Christie, of Fiankton, on the very excellent progrsunme he had provided. The audience voiced its thanks by acclamation. Mr. Walker, locomotive foreman, of Fiankton, replied on behalf of the company. Mrs. Heppleston, soprano, and Mrs. Poole, contralto, gave very pleasing items. Mr. T. Watson, tenor, met with a good reception. Mr. Crompton captivated the audience with his violin solos, and Messrs. Fenton, Klwell and Blackie “brought the house down” with their comic songs and local hits. The tableaux, sketches, ballets and choruses were excellent and deserved the frequent encores demanded by the audience. The company, which numbered about 40. was entertained to supper by the Huntly railway staff at the conclusion of the performance. The town will look forward with pleasure to a return visit of the C.C.’s.
