FAREWELL DANCE

AT OPOTIKI A party of young people gathered at the Lyric Hall on Monday night, when a dance was given in honour of Miss Eunice Porter, who is leaving Opotiki on Thursday for Australia. Confetti, spotlight and chocolate dances were a feature of the evening. During the evening Miss Porter was the recipient of a handsome box of chocolates, while both Mrs. Porter and Miss Porter received many pretty bouquets. Dancing continued until the early hours of the morning, when “Auld Lang Syne” brought a very happy gathering to a close.* Another dance in honour of Miss Porter was held in the Woodlands Hall on Wednesday evening.
