THE MUTUAL CLUB
JAZZ EVENING The Mutual Club rooms were very gaily decorated last evening with Japanese lanterns, coloured streamers and artistically arranged orange and black draperies, the occasion being an open dance evening given by the members. Despite the unpleasant weather quite a large number of members and their friends were present, and spent a very enjoyable evening. Among those present were: Mrs. Sydney Robertson, ini a frock of shot gold and blue tissue with lace godets. Mrs. F. Allen, in hyacinth blue georgette with rose and silver embroidery. Mrs. McGregor, embossed frock of silver and rose lace. Mrs. Steel, silver and black tissue gown. Mrs. Frank Bell, gown of floral printed tissue. Mrs. Dowding, blue georgette and lace and rose velvet sash. Mrs. L. Louisson, heavily beaded black georgette frock. Nlrs. Beattie, crystal beaded frock of black georgette. Mrs. Hutchings, rose pink georgette frock with silver lace. Mrs. Nicks, crystal beaded blue georgette frock. •*. Mrs. T. D. Allen, gown of autumntoned embossed chenille. Mrs. Somerville, black gown with silver trimming. Mrs. Gawl, frock of gold tissue and lacquer red and gold lace. Mrs. Bell, frock of blue and white lace and georgette. Mrs. Browning, japonica red georgette frock with hem of grey fur. Mrs. A. S. Pratt, embossed gown of nasturtium georgette. Mrs. Mitchell, orange and brown embossed georgette frock. Miss Ella Walker, black oanne velvet frock and chenille shawl. Miss Brand, embossed petunia chenille georgette. Miss Una Russell, mist blue georgette frock with silver panels. Miss Mona Allen, poppy red panne velvet frock with deep fur hem. Miss Dorothy Steel, silver tissue frock trimmed with fur. Miss Eady, black georgette frock with rose blush posy. Miss Christie, pale petunia frock of tissue. Miss Valerie Peacocke, rose shot taffeta frock. Miss J. Russell, black georgette frock with rose sequins. Nliss Nlolly Hutchings, lemon taffeta frock with net hem. Miss Ailsa Walker, rose pink satin trimmed with hand-made roses.
